Our Inspiration

During the pandemic, one of our founders was struggling with her mental health, and came across this poem by Hannah Dains on TikTok. This inspired her to start The Shampoo and Conditioner Project to help others who may be feeling the same way.

We provide a care package free-of-charge with shampoo, conditioner, as well as a plethora of other resources to help people along their mental health journey

Sarah is one of our co-founders and the CEO of The Shampoo and Conditioner Project,. She's also a 2019 Wheaton College (MA) graduate. She was inspired to start the organization during the pandemic and has much prior experience in the nonprofit sector.

Kate is the CFO of the Shampoo and Conditioner Project. She graduated from Wheaton College with a BA in Political Science and Women's and Gender Studies in 2021. She is so thrilled to join the Shampoo and Conditioner Project and help provide some comfort to those struggling with their mental health!

Ally Copenhaver

Ally is the Vice President of The Shampoo and Conditioner Project, and a 2019 Wheaton College (MA) graduate. She is also a current dual masters candidate at the College of Charleston. She was inspired to join the Shampoo and Conditioner Project team because she is passionate about mental health and hopes to help make a difference for those who are struggling with their mental health.

Emi is one of the co-founders of The Shampoo and Conditioner Project.  She is also a 2020 Wheaton College (MA) graduate. She was inspired to help co-found the organization because mental health has always been a major part of her life.

Hannah is is a senior studying Psychology along with both Communications and Film in the 3+1 program at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. She is passionate about working for a nonprofit and sharing the Shampoo and Conditioner Project's mission.

Allie Tolan

Allie is a junior at Merrimack College where she is majoring in Criminal Justice with a double minor in Psychology and Social Justice. She has always been passionate about mental health and raising awareness/ending the stigma. "I have struggled with mental illness my whole life so I really want to do whatever I can to help. I am so excited to be a part of this!"

Lindsay is a senior at Wheaton College MA working towards completing a double major in Economics and Business and Management with a concentration in Equality, Diversity, and Social Responsibility and also a minor in Asian Studies. She is passionate about joining the Shampoo and Conditioner Team and helping to make a difference for all those struggling with mental health.

Danielle is a senior at the University of Montevallo completing a major in Mass Communication with a concentration in Multimedia Journalism. She is excited to join the Shampoo and Conditioner team and assist in their mission of advocating for and supporting those struggling with mental health.
